  Descriptive Text Descriptive Text  is a type of text in English that clearly describes the characteristics inherent in something, be it humans, animals, plants or inanimate objects. The purpose of this text is to provide clear information about the object described to the reader. Characteristics of Descriptive Text: 1. Using the Simple Present Tense This text uses the Simple Present Tense because we will describe the facts attached to an object, and one of the functions of the Simple Present Tense itself is to show a fact or truth. 2. Using many adjectives (adjectives). Because the function of this text is to provide information by describing an object being described, in Descriptive Text there will be many adjectives. Examples are big, small, colorful, and so on. 3. Using a connecting verb (relating verb). A relative verb is a verb that gives an explanation to the noun that is the subject of a sentence.   PROCEDURE TExt   Procedure text  => is text designed to describe how something is done/achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. There are three elements that make up the procedure text as shown in the chart below: 1. ) Social Function Procedure text has a social function to describe an order or instructions on how something is done/achieved in order 2.)
